As a parent, you are your child’s best advocate.  And as a taxpaying parent of school-age children, you are also in a special position to speak up for our teachers and schools.

Parents are powerful advocates for public schools because they have both the personal investment and the first-hand knowledge and experience needed to be a credible and passionate voice.  You are not speaking up for your schools because it’s your job; you’re speaking up because you want what’s best for your child, your community, and our state.

There are many resources available to parents through the many parent-advocacy groups connected under the umbrella of our Network – from Parents for Public Schools to the Wisconsin State PTA to small, local grassroots groups and individuals around the state.  For more information on starting a local advocacy team, email Heather DuBois Bourenane at hdb@WisconsinNetwork.org.
